Jagjit Singh is no more!

After mesmerising billions of fans with his silken voice for decades, Ghazal king Jagjit Singh has left the world. He died in Mumbai on Monday after suffering from brain hemorrhage a few weeks back. He was 70. Jagjit Singh had been in hospital for several weeks. Recipient of Padma Bhushan award, he was the man behind revival of ghazal genre in the sub-continent.

Ghazal Maestro Jagjit Singh Critical, Suffers Brain Hemorrhage

Ghazal legend Jagjit Singh is in Lilavati hospital in Bandra after he suffered from a brain hemorrhage on Friday.

His state is said to be very critical.

As per sources, doctors at the renowned Lilavati Hospital performed a life-saving surgery on him. The 70-year-old legendary singer is under observation now. His wife Chitra Singh is with him in the hospital.
