It was a big music launch for one of the most expensive films of India.
The star, dedicated the album to late filmmaker Yash Johar and CEO of his company Red Chillies Entertainment – Bobby Chawla, brother of Juhi Chawla, who couldn’t attend the event as he is in coma since last year.
Shahrukh Khan like a true performer took the stage with his unbeatable energy while Kareena Kapoor gave her all support by setting the stage on fire with her ‘Chammak Challo’ jhatka matka. Arjun Rampal also attended the event and performed live on stage.
The actor got the album released by his good friend Karan Johar at the event. A huge set at Film City was reportedly erected for the music launch and had performances by Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, composers Vishal-Shekhar and Shah Rukh himself. No doubt, the launch was a splendid one and was very impressive.
Karan Johar says, “‘Ra. One’ I believe is the proudest Indian film ever made. In the past there hasn’t been a music launch like there has been tonight. It was great.” Shahrukh and Kareena also addressed to the press and were at their witty best.
Shahrukh even joked that Kareena has no longer time for him, “yeh aaj kal sirf chote chote Khans ke saath kaam karti hain.” Was he pointing out to Aamir or it was Salman!!
About the album, Shekhar Ravijiani, one of the composers, said, “This album is one of our best ever. It’s complete, it’s innovative, its hooky and yet beautiful. It’s grand in every respect, from the kind of songs we have on it, to the collaborations that feature on it, whether with Akon or the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. We hope everyone who hears it, will love this music as much as we do.”
Vivan Bhatena and TV’s popular actress Raginni Khanna were the emcees of the show.
