The 18th Lions Gold Awards were held on Wednesday. The awards recognizes and facilitates the outstanding talents from the showbiz world.

The favourite actor in a leading role male was awarded to Shahrukh Khan and favourite actor in a leading role female was awarded to Priyanka Chopra. They were, however, not present to receive them. But there were others who made the awards function a memorable one. The event saw who’s who of TV industry. Celebs like Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar, Aishwarya Sakhuja of Saas Bina Sasural fame, Sana Khan of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Nam Doon fame were sported at the venue. Sonu Nigam came along with his entire family to attend the function. He was honoured with the favourite evergreen singer award, while his son Nevaan bagged the favourite child singer award.”It’s a great feeling. It’s Nevaan’s first award,” the proud father told reporters.

Bollywood star Rani Mukherjee was honoured for her contribution in “No One Killed Jessica”.

The evening also saw the presence of stars like R. Madhavan, Sonu Nigam, Pony Prakash Raj, Bappi Lahri, Milan Luthria, Rohit Shetty, among others.
